Had the pleasure of being invited to the opening of The Hive at Action Homeless last week. The Hive has been designed to support some of the most chronic homeless into supported living with on site specialist teams on hand to help the adjust to the safety of a Action Homeless home.
The 14 rooms are stunning, personalised to the induvial and with ensuites and in room cooking facilities creating a home not a room.
Turning Point are on site to help support specific clients’ needs when needed. The wider Action Homeless team support with group sessions such as cooking classes, wellbeing session and connection focused events.
High quality Housing and bringing services to where people can access easily is so key to breaking the cycle of homelessness and The Hive is a prime example of how this model can work and help restore lives.
