Action Homeless is delighted to have opened a new housing project designed to offer Veterans affected by homelessness in Leicester a safe and stable home. The project is now open for referrals, and we are keen to hear from you if you are working with or know of veterans who may be at risk of or facing homelessness.
Although there are no strict time limits, the accommodation is designed to be temporary. Veterans will have access to a wide range of support, personalised to meet their needs whilst with us, to ensure that they are equipped with the skills and means to be able to maintain and thrive in their own home. Veterans will be expected to engage with us, to address any additional support needs, and work together with us to progress towards securing a more permanent home. When ready for resettlement, the project will provide support so that clients are able to consider and navigate their housing options fully.
