UK Charity Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS) to Host Their First Christmas Sit-Down Meal for Leicester’s Homeless and Vulnerable
Midland Langar Seva Society (Charity No. 1156965), a multi-award-winning UK homeless charity founded in 2013 and rooted in the Sikh principle of seva (selfless service), will host its inaugural Christmas sit-down meal for the homeless and vulnerable individuals in Leicester.
A decade of service since its founding, MLSS has grown from serving 50 meals per week to delivering over 150,000 hot meals monthly across the UK and internationally. MLSS has become a beacon of compassion, serving thousands across the UK and abroad. The charity provides hot meals, clothing, and essentials through mobile soup kitchens and outreach hubs.
In Leicester, the charity has consistently provided freshly prepared vegetarian meals, clothing, and essentials to those experiencing hardship.
Traditionally, for Christmas MLSS has offered festive meals for collection, but this year marks an exciting new chapter. This year, the charity is bringing Christmas cheer to Leicester with its first-ever sit-down festive meal, creating a memorable, fun, festive, communal dining experience for all who need it.

On Christmas Eve, MLSS will host hundreds to a sit-down festive dinner offering a warm and welcoming environment for attendees. Volunteers will be serving guests an alcohol free, professionally catered full vegetarian festive meal complete with traditional accompaniments and all the trimmings.
Our volunteer elves have been working tirelessly in the background to ensure all service users who attend, young or old, housed and homeless, all receive a Christmas gift. Santa and his elves will be personally handing out the gifts and greeting guests for photos. Everyone will be leaving with full stomach and smiles all round. All, regardless of background will feel the joy of the season.
