Gray reminded all about the Service in lament at the Cathedral later in the day, an annual service held to remember those we have lost on the streets across the city and county.
A survey has been created by the Charter for feedback on the Monthly Meet Ups to see what’s working and what else can be done (link included)

Ola from One Roof Leicester (ORL) gave us an insight into LEAF (Leicester Environmental Action and Future), how this is helping both support services and services users to think around environmental impact and how to reduce, recycle and reuse. ORL run in house sessions talking about environmental issues alongside gardening, sewing, upcycling programmes and energy saving programmes.
Laura from BioResponse, a Leicester based specialist biohazard cleaning company spoke about the wide work they do including sharps and needle sweeps, blood and bodily fluid decontamination, human waste, drug paraphernalia, extreme and void property cleans, trauma and unattended death cleaning, as well as specialist odour and decontamination work.
Andy from CFO spoke about the support and skilling sessions they run from their office on Newarke Street with prison leavers. These include cooking sessions, woodworking and women only events.
One Roof Leicester nigh shelter off Granby St is now open and running from Oct -March’27. There’s always an ask out for volunteers to help out for the early evening shifts, so if you do know of anyone who maybe interested, please reach out to ORL
Erik from British Red Cross wanted to remind people that the support offered is currently remote only as they are waiting on finding new office space and the East Street office is now closed.
