Ann from Street Pastors gave us an insight to the outreach work they do on Saturday nights in the city, ensuring vulnerable people are safe, whilst this goes beyond the rough sleeping community, Ann and her team are able to signpost people to appropriate services, and with recent meetings with Help The Homeless are able to understand the support network that exists. Street Pastors have a national presence and also operate in Barwell and Loughborough
The Changing Futures team advised that further funding has allowed them to expand their support for people facing multiple disadvantage, They also hold a frontline worker ‘support group’ which allows those working in front end services to get together and share thoughts, feelings in a safe and non-aligned environment.
