Matt and Lee from Falcon and Kalis from Leicestershire & Rutland Football Association gave us a great insight into HOOF (Homeless Open Opportunities Football). There is a webinar taking place on 18th August to give services across city/county and understanding of HOOF and the numerous benefits this can give to services users and services. There is a great deal of momentum behind HOOF as they are very keen to get new teams to participate

Peter from Adullam Homes spoke to us about the wide range of services they offer nationally and the 2 services currently in place in Leicester, Norman House and the Bethany Project. Bethany project is for young mums to be and young mums with small children and Norman House being a ex offender service for prison leavers. The PSPO Team gave us an insight into their role ensuring the Public Space Protection Order is being adhered to in the city zone and how the they are working with the street lifestyle community, local businesses and the general public to make the centre a welcoming and safe place.
New public spaces team ready to get to work in Leicester
Chris from Leicester City Council gave an update on how Andy Burnhams statement on the doorstep of No 10 is going to help support homeless services and wrap around services in the city with central government injecting cash into local and regional councils, more details to follow.
Also a reminder that the Council has received funding from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to support individuals who are in need of housing-related support in a supported housing style accommodation.
